Darin Todd McCracken, DDS, Advanced Proficiency, Laser Instructor

Dr. McCracken received his DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He entered private practice in 1997 and began delivering innovative dental solutions to alleviate dental discomfort, restore oral health, and create naturally beautiful smiles. This forward-thinking dentist delivers top-of-the-line care using a gentle touch and the latest in dental technology and products. He offers conservative, non-invasive laser dentistry to perform a variety of restorative and cosmetic procedures, including the treatment of gum disease, and he’s medically trained to administer Botox to eliminate headaches and TMJ pain. Always attune to the needs of anxious patients, Dr. McCracken offers sedation dentistry to calm frayed nerves.

Accolades & Accomplishments
The doctor received the honor of Master from the Academy of Laser Dentistry and is a frequent lecturer and teacher at Millennium Dental Technologies, The Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry at Baylor Dental School, and UT’s Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. McCracken is a certified trainer for Laser Periodontal Therapy™ (LTP), one of the few patented techniques in medicine. As a long-standing member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Dr. McCracken has twice presented at the AGD’s national meeting and at the Hispanic Dental Association National Meeting.

Dr. McCracken has served as a clinical consultant to several dental manufacturers to help develop new products and technologies. He’s active in the Texas Dental Association (TDA) and has served as President of the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry and the Texas Academy of Laser and High-Tech Dentistry – the first organization in the country devoted to laser dentistry. The doctor trains other dentists to use lasers in dentistry, and he previously provided cosmetic dentistry services to winners of the Mrs. Texas pageant.

Family Life
The dentist and his wonderful wife have two young children, a daughter and a son. Dr. McCracken serves as a board member of Chosen Child adoption services and is the Chief of his daughter’s Indian Princess group.
